Ok, so I’m a bit of a self confessed people watcher… but with people this interesting, how could I resist?
Helmet guy: He was on the side of the street and had obviously just got off his Vespa. The pink sparkly helmet was still on his head with his mobile phone wedged between the helmet and his ear. Arms were flailing as he was in deep conversation with the mid air.

Girl and pug: Strolling along amongst the elderly tourists and rich people. Suddenly I look to see a little girl with chocolate gelato all over her face looking into the eyes of a round pug. They had a brief unspoken conversation which went something like:
“I had gelato and you didn’t!”
“Get out of my face little girl”

Jam Lady:
In a country market in Scotland I met a lady who was passionate about making boozey jam. She explained the conception of the idea to me. It all started with Carrot and Amaretto. Apparently they used to make jam out of carrot back in the day and disguised it as Apricot. Not a very convincing disguise I’m told. So she decided she would mix things up and Amaretto was the way to do that. It seems that was only the beginning.
She thought to herself ‘I don’t know much about alcohol, but I do like the look of the pretty bottles’. So she would buy a pretty bottle then decide what fruit or vegetable would match based on how well it rhymed. Some of the titles included; Port and plum, Apple and Limoncello, Peach and Schapps and my personal favourite, Rum Spiced Pumpkin. Christmas in a jar. Jam Lady admitted that each jam was more booze then fruit, but made no apology, nor did she need to. I hope one day I am as passionate about something as she is about jam.
