Around the World in 80 Days [71-80]

Taiwan

I paid Gold Coast China Town a spontaneous visit on the way back from my girls weekend. I knew I had to make it count, so I mentally checked off which Asian cuisines had been done already and was left with Taiwan. Luckily even though a few of the Taiwanese places were closed, there were Chinese places that offered Taiwanese dishes. I got the Braised Pork with rice which I hear is an old faithful. This menu offered small or large with the price difference being a mere $2. Naturally I opted for the large, but I didn’t need to- it was huge and more than enough. However, size has never deterred me before so I polished it off. I don’t think I could have though if I had ordered a bubble tea which was also popular, but I’m not a fan of the pearls. Cheap and delicious always scores well in my books.
