Around the World in 80 Days [71-80]

Cambodia

This was the first restaurant I had booked since COVID restrictions kicked us all out, and boy it was an experience. I found this restaurant when looking for different Asian cuisine options near me. Bunnath Kitchen found its way on to my radar. I thought to celebrate both my 80 days coming to an end and restrictions easing, I would book for my parents and myself. Besides you need people to share all of the dishes you want to try with. I was pretty excited, not only because we could eat in a real life restaurant again but because when looking at the facebook page I came across photos of the cutest couple who own Bunnath. They looked liked the host and hostesses with the mostest.

I have never been more right in my judgment, showing that sometimes you can judge a book by its cover. Ivy greeted us and was quick to make us feel at home as well as inform us that we were the lucky patrons of Australia’s only Cambodian restaurant. She then used that novelty as well as her winning charm to help us order. By help I mean up sell and convince us to get at least $50 extra worth of food to what we had decided on. Here is a lady who is very good at what she does, and we didn’t mind because she deserved it and we enjoyed the recommendations. Everyone was happy, with delicious food, BYO wine and lots of banter, it was a meal to enjoy. I highly recommend visiting Ivy and her husband at Australia’s only Cambodian restaurant.
