Bruges

I love Bruges!!! Seriously. If ever there were a little gingerbread town to fall in love with, this is it! Sweet delicious waffles, museums dedicated to fries and even a vile of Christ’s blood, all within pleasurable walking distance. A place where there is a chocolate shop on every corner and more beers than you have hairs on your head. Bruges is just so darn cute. Take a ride, view a windmill or go to the market with the older generation. You can not and will not regret it.

A museum dedicated to fries you say? Yep. That’s because Belgium lays claim to being the creators of the fry (frites). It’s pretty neat and of course you can treat yourself to the sacred frites at the end of your visit.

Vile of Christ’s Blood? Yeah I thought that probably warranted some explanation. Apparently Bruges is the lucky owners of a vile of Christ’s blood. Not sure how they got it but you can see it for yourself at the Basilica of Holy Blood.

Enjoy the chocolate, waffles and beer… but fair warning, take it easy my friend. Overdoing the truffles is oh so easy to do.
